      Girl's Social Group (ages 10-16)

      The Girl's Social Group offered by ABA Connections is specifically designed for preteen-teenage girls with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other social, learning, or behavioural challenges. Focus of the group is to promote healthy and socially appropriate relationship-building skills with peers. The group includes structured learning activities as well as naturalistic, activity-based learning to ensure that participants develop both a strong theoretical foundation of knowldge as well as the practical skills necessary to successfully establish relationships with peers at home, school, and in the community. Fees vary based on registration type.   FAQs Is there a fee for the group? Yes. Fees for the group are paid on a monthly or full-program basis. Please contact info@abaconnections.ca for more information about fees and payment options. Is this a "drop-in" group? No. In order to ensure that our group will safely meet the needs of your child and all participants, this group is not offered as a drop-in, and advanced registration is required.  Who facilitates the group? Our group facilitators are ABA trained Therapists and Volunteers who specialize in working with older children and youth.  Do parents/caregivers stay for the duration of the group? No. In order to maintain confidentiality for all participants as well as other clients accessing services at ABA Connections, we do not allow parents to stay for the group. ABA Connections is conveniently located near many coffee shops and restaurants and parents/caregivers are encouraged to treat themselves while their child(ren) are attending the group!
