      CEI Presents: Scaling Women Entrepreneurship in Canada Canada can increase economic growth by unlocking the full potential of women entrepreneurs.  Join Sandra Altner, Chair of the Women’s Enterprise Organizations of Canada (WEOC) and Paula Sheppard, CEO of the Newfoundland & Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs for insights and case studies on the state of the women entrepreneurship ecosystem in Canada, action strategies to support women’s enterprise, and how programs and policies can be honed to best support women-led companies as they start and scale. About Sandra Altner Sandra Altner was named CEO of the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba in July 2007. Since that time she has been instrumental in evolving the Centre’s mandate and building internal competencies to assist women entrepreneurs, not only at the point of start-up, but in the growth and expansion stages.   In addition to her work in Manitoba, Sandra is the Chair of the Women’s Enterprise Organizations of Canada (WEOC), past-President of the Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (CCSBE), and a past-participant in the Canadian Taskforce for Women’s Business Growth. About Paula Sheppard  Paula accepted the role of Newfoundland and Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE) CEO in March 2011, and has worked with the organization since 2004. She is the Vice Chair and a founding member of the Women’s Enterprise Organizations of Canada, and a Board Member for Women in Resource Development Corporation (WRDC). Paula was also the Co-Chair of Atlantic Canada Women in Exporting working group from 2011-2013. A diligent supporter and a fierce advocate for women in business, Paula works closely with colleagues and all levels of government to support women entrepreneurs.
